MXF Transcoder: How to Import MXF from Canon XF/Panasonic P2/Sony XDCAM into FCP X ?

MXF is a format widely used among camcorder manufactures inlcuidng Canon, Panasoinc and Sony. However, if you want to edit your recorded MXF clips in Final Cut Pro, you’ll be disappointed since Final Cut Pro X doesn’t work with MXF format. Is there a way to make it then? Sure. Here we would introduce you 2 ways to make it.

Part I: Install Calibrated{Q} MXF Import for OS X Component

Calibrated{Q} MXF Import for OSX component is a QuickTime Import component to help import and play MXF files in Final Cut Pro X. Finally, press the convert icon to get the conversion task started. How long it will take to finish conversion depends on your video length and size as well as your computer performance.
