How to convert an MXF to AVI?
The MXF Video Converter can help you to convert the MXF footages from various camcorders to an AVI. Other than the AVI output format, you have optimized presets for almost all of the popular editing platform or device such as Windows Movie Maker, iPhone, iPad, Xbox 360, BlackBerry, Creative Zen and etc.
1. Import MXF files
First, export your MXF files from your camcorder to the PC. Then, click Add Files to load the videos you want for video conversion. Alternatively, just drag-and-drop your MXF videos directly onto the interface. Once all of the MXF files you want are imported, they’ll appear in the left item tray as illustrated.

Note: If you want to merge several MXF clips into a single file, you can also do so with this converter. Make sure the imported videos are arranged according to the play order. If not, just drag and rearrange the files. After that, tick the Merge all videos into one file’s option at the bottom of the interface.

2. Edit files before selecting output format
If you want to edit your videos, you can simply click Edit in the menu bar and choose the options you want such as trim, crop, effect, watermark and subtitle. As for selecting the output format, simply click Output Format > Format > Video and the AVI format is just right there. If required, you can also click on the Settings option at the bottom of the interface to adjust the encoder, frame rate, resolution, bitrate or etc.

3. Start the conversion
Click Convert to start the video conversion. The task will be finished within minutes. You can also carry on with other things whilst it’s converting because the remaining time required for the conversion will be displayed.
