Best way to import Canon C300 MXF to Final Cut Pro X: Canon XF Plugin

I can’t import MXF files shot on a Canon C300 into FCP 10.1.2. I have the Canon plug in for MXF file to FCP import but FCPX still doesn’t recognize MXF files when I try to import.

What is MXF?
MXF is a container format for professional digital video and audio media defined by a set of SMPTE standards. The data-recording camera systems which produces MXF including Sony’s XDCAM, Panasonic’s DVCPRO P2 and Canon XF. How to Convert and Import MXF Files into FCP X on Mac El Capitan?
Step 1: Load unsupported MXF files into the MXF Video Converter for Mac.
From “File” drop-down option, select “add Video/Audio” to add source MOV video files to the program.

Tips: On the main video displaying window, click the up and down arrow to rearrange the file order according to your own needs.

Step 2: Select output file format.
Click “Format”bar, from its drop-down list, select FCP X most favorable editing codec by following “Final Cut Pro” > “Apple Prores 422(*.mov)”, you can also choose other prores formats on your own needs.
