Best soultion to convert mxf to prores mov and import mxf to FCP without rendering

Do you have problem about import MXF Files from Hard Drive into Final Cut Pro? Do you want to import MXF Files to Final Cut Pro without rendering for keeping the native quailty? This article will tell you the best solution to import mxf files from hard drive into FCP with no rendering.

Preparation:
1. Connect the Camcorder to Mac and transfer MXF files to hard drive.

2. Download the MXF Video Converter for Mac and install it to your Mac computer.

Step by step to convert and import mxf to FCP with no rendering

Step 1. Launch the MXF Video Converter for Mac. Click “Add” button and browse to add MXF videos to file list.

Step 2. Click the “Format” button and choose “Final Cut Pro >>Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov)”. The Apple ProRes codec is best supported by Final Cut Pro on Mac.

Step 3. Click “Convert” button to start the conversion from MXF to Apple ProRes 422 with .mov format. After the conversion finished you can click “Open” button to find .mov videos in the output folder.

Tips:
1. Settings- click to set video resolution (1920×1080/1440×1080/1280×720/720×480), bitrate(from 1Mbps to 20Mbps) and frame rate (24p/30p).

2. Video Editor (next to “Add” button)- click to set deinterlace, adjust volume, trim and crop the video, etc.

Load/Import converted mxf files to Final Cut Pro with no rendering (The example of FCP X with no Log & Transfer )

Step 1. Launch Final Cut Pro X , click File option and choose Import>>Files.

Step 2. Browse to choose the converted .mov video in the “Import Files” window. And directly click the file to finish the importing.

After that the files are successfully imported to FCP X without rendering and you can freely begin to have video editing with the files you have imported.
